Travel reviews in Tripadvisor reaching 18k

I received an email from Tripadvisor (my favourite website to get travel information and reviews) that my reviews have almost reached 18k readers! Wow! That is great and i am proud to be part of tripadvisor contributors. This website is always my first reference whenever i want to plan for my DIY travel, seaching for hotels, foods, attractions and getting advise from local expert on transportation, itinerary, currency exchange, local tour and lots of other tips. What to eat and where to stay in Ipoh

Few friends have asked me for this information and i decided to post it here to share with all my blog readers. The food and hotel recommendations are based on my experience and also research done reviewing through multiple articles on the web. If you found any of them not true, you are welcome to comment on it, better still if you can recommend something better.

For hotel, i have stayed twice in Regalodge hotel (~RM140, rated#4 in Tripadvisor) with kids. It is clean, modern, good quality of sleep and good location. Recently i notice a new hotel-French hotel (~RM130, rate#5 in Tripadvisor) is getting very popular, but haven't tried out yet. As for food, here is a list of good eatery places, all are welcome to add to the list.

Better quality of life thanks to i-robot

After some research and thinking, we decided to buy the iRobot 530 Roomba Vacuuming Robot September last year. I-robot and cleanmate was the two model short listed after reading multiple reviews and comparison articles about vacumming robot. We decided to go for the i-robot for it high rating, robustness and trusthworthy brand name. I bought it from Amazon for less than US$300, then bought a power adapter that convert 220V to 110V from local store.

Now it have been four months since we first used the i-robot and we are very happy with it. Everytime before we leave our house, we will power it on and let it run and when we are back, it completed it's job and went back to it charging dock. The house is cleaner than our normal sweeping, no more hair drop and the floor is so shiny. It makes the mopping job much more easier now. Thank you i-robot and we are glad to have you in our home.

Group buying - from sceptical to looking forward

When i first saw these companies like everyday and groupmore selling great discount coupons, i was a little sceptical about it. I was wondering how could the company make profit if they are selling coupons for 50%-90% discount? How secure was the payment process? How was the process of receiving the coupons after payment, printing it and using it?

After using it for a few months, i liked it so much and keep looking forward to it's new deals every weeks. Coupons that i liked the most are coupons on dining, hotel and massaga/spa. Purchasing coupons via those websites are easy and flexible, payment can be done using internet banking or major credit cards. Best food voucher i bought is 1 KG crab from Pang seafood restaurant for RM29 and best massage voucher is the Danai spa in Eastin hotel.
